Blackwood Farm Park

We were happy to partner with Orange County and Susan Hatchell Landscape Architecture to bring thoughtful new amenities to this historic farmstead-turned-public park. The design includes a new 1,220-square-foot staff office with a multipurpose room, garage, restrooms, and two custom picnic shelters that feel right at home among the existing farm buildings. We also incorporated infrastructure for WiFi and evening events to support future flexibility. A small amphitheater and an environmental learning center round out the vision—balancing day-to-day function with a long view toward educational programming and community gatherings. Every element was designed to be practical, contextual, and quietly beautiful.
